Seneca Cannery Antiques Welcome to Seneca Cannery Antiques! We are a 3 story vendor mall with more than 55 vendors and over 90 booth spaces. We are conveniently open everyday from 10-5.

Here you’ll find antiques, vintage, nostalgic, and collectible items. Hope to see you soon! Welcome to Seneca Cannery Antiques, Havre de Grace's largest multi-dealer mall. We are located in a 20,000 sq ft post-Civil War brick and stone building which is listed on the National Register. The original interior and exterior walls are still visible, as well as the post and beam support structure. The f

ront brick foundation dates to about 1875, while the rear stone may date to the 1830's. The building was designed by John Donahoo. The Seneca brothers, using the Red Cross and Flora labels, opened and operated a tomato cannery on the first floor of the building. Cans and products for packing were also manufactured. In 1891, the second floor was converted to a hosiery mill producing 700 dozen pairs of seasonal hose per week. This was a perfect site for a cannery since it was located at the water's edge and had adjacent railroad tracks for shipping. Trains were ferried across the river to the tracks on the other side. Red Cross canned goods were purchased by the US government from the Seneca factory during the Spanish-American War (1898). The business was later sold to Edward Stockham who canned tomatoes as well as other vegetables grown on Maryland's Eastern Shore. On the north side and rear of the building are massive granite support buttresses not to be missed. We invite you to visit us for a large selection of antiques and collectibles. Spend your time leisurely browsing thru two floors of vintage linens, furniture, pottery, costume jewelry, and much, much more. Our dealers are always searching for something new and special to make your treasure hunting exciting and fun. Seneca Cannery can be found at 201 St John St, at the intersection with Pennington Ave. Just look for us one block from the Susquehanna River at the head of the Chesapeake Bay.
