Hi, there!

Just popping in to say how incredibly grateful I am for all of your support 🥹

Yesterday, we had an absolutely insane day at the farmers market. I’m blown away. Our tent was so full all damn day. We had so many amazing conversations with everyone. So many people asking about that brick and mortar. So many people buying our “I Love GGB!” stickers. So many people coming from near and far just to check out our tent because they saw it online.

The list of amazing things from yesterday, and this whole market season, really, is seemingly endless.

I started this business just two years ago on a mission to sell just a couple of books here and there. Now, we’re breaking sales records for ourselves left and right, selling out events, planning major steps for the business, and building a much needed space for community within our community.

None of this would be possible with you all coming back and showing up for this store day after day. ENDLESS thanks and gratitude for you all. Thank you. You guys rock.

Don’t forget ‼️ These super fun and special events are coming up soon 💛🍪📚💛

ICYMI ⬇️

We will be hosting TWO children’s story time and craft events this August to help get your little ones ready for the upcoming school year.

At each event, we will be reading The Smart Cookie by Jory John together! In this heartwarming story, a cookie learns to love and accept her unique talents with the help of her teacher. Afterwards, we will decorate our very own cookies together, baked by Haverhill’s own Mindy Paper!

What makes these events extra special? Every participant will go home with a FREE copy of the book and a take-home craft to go along with it! We are so very grateful for the opportunity to provide this enriching event and materials ahead of the school year. This program is funded in part by a grant from the Haverhill Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency (Haverhill Cultural Council & Mass Cultural Council).

✨Dates: Tuesday, August 18 & Saturday, August 23
✨Time: 10:00 am to 11:00 am
✨Location: Creative Haverhill Cogswell Incubator Space (43 Washington St., Haverhill, MA 01832)

✨Recommended Age Group: Elementary school kids!

If you love the idea of a silent reading party, you might be interested in this ongoing book club we have: our Audiobook Walking Club! It’s like a silent reading party…except with audiobooks and walking.

Here are the details ⬇️

✨ Date: Sunday, August 16
✨ Time: 10:00 am to 11:15 am
✨ Location: Winnekenni Park, Haverhill, MA
✨ Meeting Location: We will send information about our meeting point to those who RSVP to the event.
✨ Trail: We will send information about our exact trail to those who RSVP. Please note that no matter the trail, it is not always flat. There may be some slight inclines. The path may not always be paved and there may be sticks and tree roots.
✨ Book Selection: This book club is BYOB (Bring Your Own Book!) If you are in search of something new, check out our Libro.fm storefront.

We are so excited to announce the return of our Books & Blooms event this August!

Good & Golden Books will be hosting a Silent Reading Party and Book Swap right next to the beautiful flower patch. And, we’ll be joined by Haverhill-based business Lowe’s Donuts and Bakery 💛 They’ll have delicious baked goods (top 9 allergen free!) and refreshing drinks for you to purchase and enjoy!

Don’t know what the heck a Silent Reading Party or a Book Swap is?

➡️ Silent Reading Party: This is when a group of people come together to read their own books in the quiet company of one another! You can socialize afterwards with fellow attendees…or not. No pressure!
➡️ Book Swap: This is when you bring books from your own collection and swap them with someone else’s! For our event, you can bring up to five gently used books and can take home as many as you bring.

Here are the event details:

🌼Date: Sunday, August 23
🌼Time: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
🌼Location: Old Wild Farm, Haverhill, MA
🌼Ticket Price: $12 (includes a free PYO flower bouquet!)
🌼Registration: Link in our bio!

Good & Golden Books will also bring a curated selection of new and used books for you to browse, in case you don’t already have a book in mind.
