Well, something new to add to the list of the competitions we like to try our hand at. Cooked in 2 events with the Rib Cookoff Assc., (RCOA), this year, had a great time with some awesome people and did good enough to get invited to this!!! I am excited to go down and see what we can do!! Best of luck to all of the teams going!!

Well, I finally have a minute to give a recap of our trip to the largest bbq contest in the world, The American Royal! Huge thank you to the crew of Milhaus for inviting us to cater their corporate party. What an absolute blast that was!! We had so much fun and are already looking forward to next year! As for the contest, well, let's just say that we went there with catering in mind first. The customer is always our first priority! With that being said, we decided to go off the rails and try some completely new approaches to all categories. As Michael Richardson said, swing for the fence and maybe one will connect! We missed them all!! Haha! Although, the most dramatic change was to chicken and that is what we scored best with....I guess

We certainly want to congratulate our friends from Old Virginia Smoke, Luke Darnell on the RGC and a huge atta boy to Jason Wagner with Wags Backwoods BBQ on the GRAND CHAMPION!!!!

The ol Well Sauced BBQ team went to work yet again this weekend! Traveled to Oklahoma to compete in another Rib Cookoff Assc. event. Arnett Ok. Out of 24 great rib cooks out here we managed to hammer 1st place in baby backs and 3rd in spare ribs! We even ended up getting the high score of the day and winning a Merica weber grill!! Thanks to all of those that help make it happen! HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

The ol Well Sauced BBQ showed up again this weekend at the Phelps County Ribfest. Dirk with The Rib Cookoff Assc. ran it for us. We had a good turnout in both the contest and the vending afterwards. Thanks to all the sponsors who help get an event like this off the ground! Chris Nelson worked very hard and tirelessly to put this all together. Thanks man! Well, as for the tale of the tape, we had a great day! Competition categories were chicken wings, steak, and of course ribs. We managed to get 1st in wings, and 1st in steak with a New York Strip from Swanson Cattle, (we won't talk about ribs😉), but it was enought to net us the Grand Champ of the day! Our good friend Kelly Wertz of 4 Legs Up BBQ knocked it out of the park with the 1st place in Ribs! Congrats Kelly! Also congrats to (correction) Curtis McClure on the RGC!! (Sorry about that)

Also, thanks to all who came out and supported us that were vending! Great turnout by the Holdrege area people. They never disappoint!! (And yes, as always, we ran out of mac n cheese!) Best on the planet...sign says so!

Well, the Well Sauced BBQ team returned from the Smoke In The Spring contest in Osage City KS. What a great contest ran by Corey Linton and his fantastic crew! On Friday night we turned out over 230 bowls of our famous loaded mac n cheese to the loyal patrons of this event. Man, this community is awesome!! A huge thank you to all who came out and showed their support to all who vended! Friday night they put on one of the best fireworks shows ever!! The explosion fireball plume gets me everytime!! I love it! Well, as for the contest results went, humbling as it is....

Turkey we finished 9th out of 48 teams that turned in
Ribs......8th out of 93 fantastic teams
Pork, we were one 9 away from a 180 and finished 5th
Brisket we finished 8th
Chicken....we don't want to talk about...lol. Let's just say that when trying something new, you should probably practice it ahead of time.
We ended up 22nd overall thanks to that damn yard bird! We are scraping that new method immediately!!

Congrats to Parts R smokin on the GC and Cow Creek BBQ on the RGC!!!

I want to put out a huge thanks to Primetime spices for hookin us up with the good stuff!! If you ain't running that Pigasus, you're missing out!! Also, new to the team, 3 B's honey....gamechanger!!! And thanks to the hard working team members Brandon Fisher and Kayla R. .....couldn't do it without you guys!!
