We kicked off the year with a great Haskell county stock show this weekend! We are proud of the work that our students do.

It was a great few days in Huntsville. We are proud of these kids for representing Haskell at the state level! They might not remember the placings or banners but they are learning skills and building relationships they will carry for life.

The Ag Issues team has been in Austin the past couple of days getting ready for our state contest. We toured the capitol, learned some Texas history and government and talked to people that are shaping Texas’ policies. It has been a great couple of days! Now onto Huntsville to join the Jr and Sr Skills teams.

2025 Area II LDEs. All 31 kids had a part in bringing home a banner today. So proud of each of them! 8 teams placed in the top 5. 4 teams are heading to state - Ag Issues, Sr Skills, Greenhand Skills and Radio Broadcasting.

31 kids headed to Area after Double Mountain District LDEs! So proud of these kids for the way they compete but more so for the way they help and take care of one another. Every time they load the bus they become better leaders and individuals and I couldn’t be more proud. It was a great day and we look forward to Area on Saturday.

Kids go to FFA district competition next Tuesday. We will send them off with “goodie bags” for after they compete. We have 35 to prep for. Anything you would like to donate would be great or you can Venmo me and I’ll order. So far we have cookies, chips and Rice Krispies. If you have donations drop them off at my Rike Real Estate office on the square. Thank you!!

Come join us tomorrow at 2 and see all the hard work our kids are putting in for LDEs. Everyone is welcome! Teams presenting will include Ag Issues, Chapter Conducting, Skills, Public Relations and Creed Speaking.

Now that Homecoming is over I can share these pictures. Our horticulture classes got to make centerpieces for the program’s tables. The kids spent about 3 weeks painting, planting and decorating. I think they turned out great! It is so fun to see when someone discovers a hidden talent.

Ag in the Classroom 2025. It was a busy but good day! I am so proud of the way these kids are able to adapt and do whatever is needed, no matter the task. I think they were great role models and teachers today.
