Here at the Hartville Thrift Shoppe we have 5 partnering churches who have been the backbone and support of our store from the beginning - providing our board of directors, as well as many volunteers, donors, customers, and staff. They are Beech Mennonite, Bethany Mennonite, Cornerstone Community, Evermore Community, and Maple Grove Mennonite. Phil Stauffer, our Executive Director, is again visiting these churches to share our thanks, and provide updates. This past Sunday he was at Beech Mennonite Church in Louisville. The service focused on seeing and being available to respond to the opportunities around us to serve others and be Jesus in the world. And particularly on MCC, featuring The Hartville Thrift Shoppe, The Ohio Mennonite Relief Sale, and putting together school kits, one of the many kits put together by churches for MCC who then sends them around the world. Beech had put together over 400 kits to send to MCC!! And we prayed a blessing over them as they go. We also support local charities and, though we don't do everything perfectly for sure, we continually ask God's guidance on our work as we serve. We are so grateful for the ways God blesses this venture. And we thank all of you for the ways you bless us with your hours of volunteering and work, not to mention your donations, purchases, and loyalty.

Happy August 18th - day after National Thrift Shop Day. We were working hard and celebrating yesterday and hope you all enjoyed some time here or at any of your other favorite thrift shops! Some pics today from around the store. Hello our fun young shoppers who waved when I was snapping pics from the balcony! And we finally got our book department sign. Yay! Beautiful day to get out and about and come on in!

(Sorry we can't go back out to shop or get prices/info on items you might see here - we just don't have the staff to do that. As you can imagine it could be a full-time job with phone and online questions. But come on in and check it all out!)
