Collectors alert! These little mug/jugs have so much character and have become collectors pieces. This is the "Gardener". It is a small character jug produced in England by Shorter & Son. The jug features a small bird eating grain from the gardener's hand. The jug is impressed "Shorter England" and marked with black stamp "Genuine Staffordshire Handpainted Shorter & Son Ltd England".

I’ve added a plant too because 🫣 plants make everything better, right? It’s a low maintenance succulent requiring infrequent waterings and bright to indirect light. Not a plant person? Take it out and give it to your friend who is and enjoy your “Gardener”.

There is one chip long the brim of his hat (pictured in comments. More photos including the imprinting and stamp on bottom in the comments.

đź‘€FLASH SALEđź‘€ 4/11-4/12 ONLY Basket only~ $20.00 Set $30.00

Could we be any more mid mod?!? These white lattice porcelain bread baskets were particularly popular in the 60s and 70s as was the hand carved monkey pod wood fruit displayed in it. While the basket is typically described as a bread basket it was not uncommon for it to be used to display wooden fruit just like this.

The basket is unmarked so the maker is unknown. Its origin is most likely Italy.
