2026 is a beautiful year to get things done!

And UPMC has Yoga on the Mind!! Join me Wednesday January 21, 2026 at 6pm for Mind, Body and Soul rejuvenation. 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

With it being the Year of the Fire Horse, taking practical steps to apply knowledge we learned in ‘25 is the bridge to success! This comes with accepting a few missteps.

During my own practice, I could do all the moves and my balance is STILL OFF. 🥴🤭🫣 But it doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it means you’re still moving. In the pause(breath) after the fall, creativity is born. 🌺

When we release perfection and choose belief, our missteps become the raw material for something more honest, more beautiful, and better than before.

Yoga is for rate E for EVERYONE! I’ll see you on the mat!

After two years, I finally found myself upside down again and to my surprise, my body didn’t miss a beat. 🙃There’s something magical about how the body remembers the balance, the breath, the quiet strength that never really leaves us. Even when we step away, the foundation we’ve built is still there, waiting patiently for our return.Headstands have always been more than a pose for me. They remind me to trust myself, to stay grounded even when the world turns upside down, and to see things from a new perspective.Today was proof that growth doesn’t vanish, it simply rests until we’re ready to rise again. 🌿✨

Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Last nights class was so good 😊Yoga is known for its mindfulness elements, and this mindful awareness is important in pain tolerance. To improve the brain’s perception of pain when doing challenging asanas, we incorporated a chair🪑 for assistance.

Sometimes it can be a challenge to get onto the mat for anyone at any age. Chair yoga helps with fortifying the mind and body by gradually improving flexibility while trusting self within.

Remembering:
-Consistency over intensity.
-Progress over perfection.
-Fundamentals over fads.

The secret is there is no secret, just a daily affirmation that you can make it. And you will. 🧘🏽‍♀️✨🧘🏽

Today we acknowledge the pay wage gap between women and men.

Women earn .84 cents to every dollar a man earns, while Black women working full-time, year-round are paid 69 cents and 60 cents for Latina women.

It’s time to close the gap!
