Welcome to Fall ! … pumpkins, spice and everything nice ! It’s a marvelous sight… Halloween decors with chrysanthemums, corn stalks and bales of hay. Apple dumplings were always a big treat in our house, made from scratch dough, butter, cinnamon and brown sugar --- the aroma while they are baking is something to be captured for the season! And with this time of year, the farmers’ markets are a wealth of all imaginable types of gourds, squash and apples! Turnaround and it’s Turkey Day and Jingle Bells soon to follow… those glorious holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas!

I’m missing my “Sr Nut” this year… my first holiday season without her by my side. Momma was the best! Kindred spirits we were -- with lots of laughs, and full of love.

Two-Nuts Confections has some exciting news! We will be featured on the award-winning series, Proudly Pennsylvanian, tomorrow evening, 2/6, on CBS 21 at 6 pm! I am thrilled and humbled to have this opportunity to tell our story and watch a candy taste testing with News Anchor, Jesse McDonough. Hmmm.....maybe mom used her clout to get this to happen, haha! To my friends and customers –
Many of you know, but some do not… my dear mother, my “Sr Nut” passed away at Thanksgiving time this past year. She was my best friend, my confidante. I miss her terribly, but I know she is with me all the time. Especially in the candy kitchen, whispering in my ear, “you better make sure those candies taste perfect… the packages look beautiful and the ribbon is tied perfectly!”
That was her… the best, the most beautiful !
