You find the perfect fabric to create your project, ideal color and texture to set off that gorgeous new machine embroidery design. It stitches out fantastic, yet clean up is a disaster. While the fabric remains smooth and pucker free around the design, you can still see the imprint of the hoop . You try pressing, washing, wet the mark of the hoop remains. That, my friends is known as "hoop burn," a permanent unremovable mark on the fabric. Watch as we share our extremely simple (and inexpensive) way to pretreat the hoop and fabric to prevent this from ever occurring.

Measure twice? Absolutely.
Measure again? Obviously.
Measure one more time just to make sure? You know it. 😂🧵

Because in sewing, sometimes the measuring tape has trust issues… and apparently, so do we! 😆 One tiny measurement mistake can turn a beautiful sewing project into a very creative interpretation of the original pattern.

But here’s the real lesson: getting it wrong doesn't mean you should give up. Sometimes you simply need to pause, check your work, make a few adjustments, and try again. That’s how we learn, improve, and create something even better than we imagined.

Life is a lot like sewing. We don't always get the measurements right the first time. We make mistakes, rethink our plans, and occasionally have to “measure again.” 😂 But every correction is part of the process.

Don’t be afraid to start over. Don’t be embarrassed by mistakes. Keep learning, keep creating, and keep going. The finished masterpiece is worth every little adjustment along the way. ❤️🧵✨

“Do I know what I’m doing?”
Absolutely.
“Am I sure?”
Absolutely not. 😂✂️

Sometimes sewing is 10% skill, 20% patience, and 70% confidently saying, “I meant to do that.” 😆

But that’s the fun of creating something with your own hands. You don’t need to have every stitch figured out before you start. You learn by trying, fixing, unpicking, trying again, and occasionally staring at your sewing machine like it personally betrayed you. 😂

Every mistake teaches you something. Every project makes you better. And every time you push through the frustrating moments, you build confidence—not just in sewing, but in yourself.

So go ahead and pretend you know what you’re doing… until you actually do! ❤️

Because sometimes confidence comes first, the skills come second, and the magic happens somewhere in between. 🧵✨
