So I was just thinking…

Wouldn’t it be nice if I could take all the time and creative energy that goes into social media posts and put it toward something else?

More time making things.

More time connecting with makers.

More time thinking and planning workshops and classes.

More time intentionally dreaming up what’s next.

Because honestly, social media can be exhausting and draining. And I’d rather put that energy toward creating, connecting, and dreaming up new things for the shop.

I’m also working on getting a newsletter set up, and you can keep up to date on what’s happening through our new website, too.

You may see me here a little less often, but I’m really excited about having more time and energy to create new things, try new ideas, and see where they go. (I make no promises😂) 💛

Come find a little kindness with us!
2 new introductory letters arrived! It’s pretty exciting to have people choose our little shop out of all the shops in this network to write to. Stop in and read them & find a new pen pal! This weeks letters are from Johnson City, Tennessee & Mount Pleasant, Michigan!

We also have postcards that are free to use, generously donated to us by a community member.

About the project: The Sunday Letter Project is a network of independent shops & libraries around the world that serve as letter keepers for people to connect through letter writing & spread a little kindness.

Filled with corn and made to heat up for soothing warmth when you need it. Perfect for chilly evenings, sore muscles, or simply relaxing at the end of the day. Soft & removable fabric for easy washing.

Made by Azalea of Warm Regards Gifts in nearby Brownsdale, MN. Azalea is also a nurse who designed these comfort packs for a better quality reusable heating pad.

Pair it with Deep Sleep or Sore Muscle Salve for a little self care or thoughtful gift.

The Website is finally LIVE! We’ve been asked A LOT and now it’s here! Check it out here: https://www.tinkerandmakes.com/

Whether you live nearby and want to browse before you come in, or you’re a little farther away you can now browse from home, too!

You can discover some of the makers we carry, and we’re still adding things, including our consignment makers. There will always be some things you’ll only find when you visit the shop, so the website is just another way to take a peek and find locally made gifts for you or someone else.

Small business hasn’t always been easy, and we know how much heart, time, and hard work goes into every little thing you see on our shelves.

One of our favorite features is the Kids’ Craft Kits organized by age, making it easier to find the perfect creative activity or gift for young makers.
