A little tour of our little bookshop! We’re not just books - your proprietor also loves to make things out of “forsaken” books, fabrics, etc. so there are lots of locally handmade things for you, your walls, and your shelves!

A fellow came in to the shop yesterday asking for this book specifically. I had it in online inventory but didn’t have my spreadsheets with me to locate it. It’s not in great shape but the pages are clean - it’ll be in the shop this week!

New merch at Forsaken Books! I’m making 1.5” pinback buttons - the tray is full but I didn’t get a photo of it before I took it in to the shop. Just $2.50/each or 5 for $10!

Add some FLAIR to your jacket, bag, or backpack!

There are printed ones, printed genuine vintage labels, images printed on reclaimed book page, reclaimed candy wrappers (so cute!), reclaimed magazine images, and a couple of snarky collages (also shown are collages in progress).

Soon I’ll have magnets and keychains/bag charms, just waiting on samples to R&D and then supplies.

New offerings from Forsaken Books! Come check out my sized, stretch fit beaded bracelets and add a splash of color to your stack!

I use Czech and Chinese glass beads - I love working with the little 11/0 size, but as my stash and skills grow I’ll have more varieties, if this is something you like.

Last week I made some boho-style clasped bracelets with leather cord and wood beads, and some corded cabochon feather necklaces.

Next week I’ll have some Mint Julep bracelets (a mix of greens, whites, and bourbon 🥃 beads).

Also, don’t forget to come in and browse for some reading material! I add a box of books just about every week. The Romance section is looking a little thin lately, but we’re flush on Mysteries and cookbooks!

Do we have any hand quilters here? I have these hexagons available in the shop, if you do English paper piecing (or want to start). Reclaimed from sturdy book pages or dust jackets - from damaged books, of course!
