Another solid night for the . The day started out at the Livingston Lawn Care Parking Lot Party and having the car on display with the Scorch & Stone Craft Lab tent! We then had the car on display on the front stretch in honor and appreciation for Jeff.
We turned in 5th quick in hot laps. Made some changes for the heat. Originally started 8th, was up to 5th by the end of lap one but the start was called back as the caution came out before the whole field could pass the line. Restarted 7th and Tim narrowly missed two cars flipping in turns 1 and 2. So third times the charm, we started 5th and ultimately ended up 4th. We made some big changes to the car with starting 11th. At the start, Tim had got chopped pretty good and lost all of our momentum send us back to about 15th. Tim would then drive his ass off and at the end of 20 laps we ended up 6th with having an average lap time good enough for 3rd in the remaining 4 laps. We all wanted a win bad for our friend Jeff and the Rohrbaugh family, but passing cars top and bottom, showing speed, we were all happy with the result. Pull pulls haven’t helped us with starting spots this year but our luck with turn around soon enough!
It was great having Jeff’s friends and family, those who have been around throughout the years at the track, telling stories, telling memories. An emotional day that ended with smiles and laughs. We’re all going to miss our friend and the legend he was physically, but we know he’s going to be riding with us spiritually every time we hit the track.
