The update everyone has been waiting for with the “sunrise” blanket! This is a king sized bed that the blanket is laying across. I didn’t do the blanket as big as the bed because this is for my little who is only in a full sized bed. So far, she loves it. Now however the weather is a little too warm to use it but she still loves it. Now onto the next project as I have a second little who would also love a blanket for her bed. Happy crocheting 🧶 💕

I am so disappointed with myself. In my rush to get the blanket done, I see at least two spots where I missed stitches. Not just one or two here or there, but a section of three stitches in two different places. Any guesses where those places are? If you said at the very beginning of the border, you would be correct. I can’t stop looking at it. I must do what I know is right, tear it almost all the way out and fix it. Maybe it is a blessing in disguise as I was thinking I should have added another round or two before the border. This pushes my completion date back but the peace of mind I’ll have by fixing it is well worth it!

Since my sprained wrist is finally healed, I have picked the blanket back up! Two skeins done today 🥳. Almost completely done with the blanket! 😉

It’s been a struggle keeping with the 1 skein a day rule. Especially when your little keeps stealing it to sleep with each night. The blanket is definitely “growing” and maybe after 4-5 more skeins, might actually be completed. Until then, here is an updated picture! Taking up half a couch!

It’s been a struggle finding my passion again. And while I’m not saying I found it, something has happened.

This past week/weekend, I felt like I’ve had a small breakthrough. I, very much spur of the moment, started a new blanket for one of my littles. I set a goal for myself to get through at least 1 skein a day until it is finished. So why not join me in the journey on this one.

Four days ago, I was helping my sister with a pattern, nothing set in stone and just bouncing idea’s off of each other. Sometimes people are more hands on and in trying to teach/show the pattern, I had some inspiration. So four days later and 5 skeins in, here it is so far. I don’t usually post what I’m working on while I’m working on it. I need to have everything perfect, ends tucked and border done before I even consider posting. We are definitely not done with this yet!

Today is a new day!
