(I posted this yesterday on my personal page yesterday, February 27th, and thought I'd share here as well...she baked A LOT of homemade bread in her years)

On this day in 1924, my Grandma Drayton was born. 102 years later, she's still celebrating birthdays! She is a prayer warrior and this is an example of the power of prayer. Happy 102nd birthday to my only existing grandparent, Francis Drayton!! I love you, Grandma!!!

Welcome to the first day of the new year. Choice and change is up to each individual. Tomorrow is not promised, but you made it to today. Thank God for that.
Speaking of change, I decided to add cocoa and chocolate chips to oatmeal cookies. Change is good. So, so good! 😋

As Christians, we are to be bold.
I got bold and fried green beans and shrimp. Just as I finished, I threw in some mango pico de gallo from a Mexican dinner I made earlier in the week. Served it over linguine.

I enjoy roasting vegetables and mixing the colors just so. It's funny that red cabbage looks purple. Adds vibrance. There's also red and yellow bell peppers, green onion, minced garlic, and capers. All were tossed before being roasted for fifteen minutes @ 400°.
Let's not forget the salmon. It sat in a Grand Marnier/clover honey marinade w/ herbs for a half an hour before being broiled on high for 5 minutes.

Philippians 4:5. (This verse essentially encourages believers to exhibit a balanced and restrained approach to life, avoiding extremes and practicing self-control in all aspects.)

"Eat your vegetables!"

Brussel sprouts, broccoli, red and yellow bell peppers, carrots, red onion, and minced garlic. Roasted (in olive oil) with shrimp, crumbled bacon, and spices over linguine.

They say breakfast is the most important part of the day. I waited to have breakfast for dinner. Steak & cheesey eggs w/garlic, onion, & grits.

Every now and then, I come across a great salmon filet. This is paired with mini potatoes and fine green beans w/red onion, red pepper, and minced garlic.
