Got this Whipple Powered Mustang tuned last week! It had a pretty janky fuel system and some other questionable modifications. We tried to at least baseline the car with the existing setup, but it immediately broke up under boost on the dyno.
I suspected the main cause was that the plugs were gapped incorrectly, along with a questionable calibration. The car went over to Synergy Auto Lab where they repaired the fuel system, upped the pulley size to lower the boost, and swapped out the plugs. Whoever did the plugs last left the gap at .040" 🙃
Utilizing HP Tuners , I was able to get some pretty solid power out of this setup!

I generally don't have a ton of Evo X's come through the shop, but it's a nice treat when they do. This one has some basic bolt-on's and a TF06-18K turbo. Initially I started tuning it on the Accessport, then quickly switched over to Tephramod. On the second to last pull, one of the injector o-rings decided it didn't want to party anymore. After replacing all 4, which showed signs of tearing from installation, I was able to finish the tune. Big thanks to Michael Adkins for the assist in working out some issues I was running into, and pointing me in the right direction. It's always a nice feeling having people you can trust in the industry to help out when needed!

One of the three vehicles at the shop currently getting tuned on Megasquirt got wrapped up today! This Miata came down from Maine for a calibration adjustment, which involved a pretty extensive clean up of the existing tune. It didn't idle well, started poorly, part throttle cruise and transient was terrible.

I was able to use the load cell on the dyno to work through calibrating the choppy VE / ignition table, and even though it didn't make much power, or gain a ton from its baseline run, it now drives like a turbo Miata should!

Got this 2016 STi all wrapped up making some more power! Brought it in yesterday to remove the intake manifold and install the IAG Performance fuel lines and rails and Injector Dynamics ID1000's. This car already had a GrimmSpeed JB400 installed, but was down on power due to an issue with the factory downpipe. Once that was resolved, the car did pretty well overall. This turbo does perform moderately well, but it does lack a bit on the low end.

Got this clean Dodge Stealth dialed in today! The AEM Series 1 ECU is an interesting piece to work with. Either way I was able to correct the horrific drivability issues it had previously, and smooth out the powerband. This thing feels awesome!

A GR86 and first gen BRZ hit the rollers this week, both tuned with EcuTek Technologies Ltd, both sporting JDL turbo kits. These 22+'s really love boost! We were nearing the limits of the factory fuel system, but with larger port injectors and some more boost we could see a decent bump in power beyond this.

This boosted Prelude made some solid power today! Built H22, G35r on pump gas. Definitely needs methanol or Ethanol, I had to take some power out up top due to heat soak. The old Calibration was pretty awful for part throttle cruising conditions, and wasn't setup very well to begin with. Cleaned it all up so now it runs great under all conditions.

This 2020 STi came back for the final Ethanol tune! This engine previously had a 3584RS, we stepped it down a bit to a G30-900 to give it a much more usable power band. Such a great setup!
