So, I have been writing for the veteran charity called Stack Up, doing game reviews, hype articles, and fun stuff like that... I even did an article about how the charity has helped me through some rough times by allowing me to participate in the variety of programs that they offer, as well as finding a great community of gamers and nerds/geeks that have so many different fandoms, it is hard to follow sometimes.

Last weekend, Stack Up gave me a press badge and told me to head to Indianapolis for the biggest tabletop and board game convention in the US... So I got to write about that too! I am making a video based on all the cool developers and creators I met at the convention, as well as a highlight article for the exhibitors.

It is always an honor to be able to give back and help the community of veterans!

I think mine would be like Borderlands, or Red Dead Redemption... maybe one of the Bauldur Gate games, like the Bards Tale! Maybe Fable?

So there is some bad news... the business loan was denied. This does not mean that the business will not come to be, it just means there is a bump in the road and that hurdle will have to be overcome before moving forward again. This is merely a setback and hopefully it will be rectified soon! Keep the good vibes coming.

Also, questions of the week: what would YOU like to see in a gaming lounge? What games are important to have? What systems would bring you in to play? What activities or events would really peak your interest? How can we make this business cater more to your wants and needs?

So I know I promised an answer from the bank last week, but it turns out that the person that needs to look at the information was (or still is) on vacation.

Still hopeful for the outcome, and cannot wait to move things forward. Stopped by the awesome people at Back in the Game, and had a chat with the owner there to be my main supplier of my initial purchase (and repairs for broken items down the road), and he is ready to set up a great deal on the items that will be needed for all the gaming in the store (minus table top gaming, that will have to be by another supplier). Also stopped in at the location that has been the most promising so far, and just need to get a good construction company on our side to help come up with layout ideas for the store, and how to best make it look AMAZING for all of you that will visit!

Just a quick PSA: this business is not stopped working to get opened! The banks are holding up the owner from moving forward with opening day... meaning, they are taking their sweet time with going forward with the loan, and therefore, it is slow moving to get items for the store, and to get a building to set up the business!

BUT WE WILL NOT STOP MOVING FORWARD! WE ARE STILL WORKING TO GET THIS BUSINESS UP AND RUNNING! If this bank does not give us a "yes", we will just move to the next one, and the one after that, and the one after that, until we find the "Yes" we are looking for!
