Hello cyclist ,
Well looks like another few cold nights . Fortunately the days are sunny so , riding isn't too bad . My personal experience is that the biggest mistake in dressing for cold weather is to dress too warm without using layers . If you can heat your core up enough for you skin to become moist you are over dressed . Once you get wet it's very unlikely you can remove any clothing . A vest or light wind jacket that you can remove 20 minutes into the ride is a time honored method to fight the cold . Sometimes your core is warm but your extremities are cold . Booties , gloves , scarf or necktube and a hat are good additions . A couple tips are , news paper ( down the front of your jersey for the first minutes and over your toes under your booties ) , also if you put light oil on your skin (mostly your front side and maybe lower back ) this especially helpful when it's wet out side . I hope you found something in here helpful . See you on the road!
