Weekly Ideas Day, and we are keeping mulch where it belongs.
Today the colony builds a simple mulch bed edge.
Step one. Lay a garden hose along the shape you want and step back to check the curve.
Step two. Cut a trench along that line about three inches deep.
Step three. Set your Heritage ties into the trench, leveling each one front to back.
Step four. Butt the ends tight and pin each tie with rebar so nothing shifts.
Step five. Refresh the mulch inside the new edge and admire the line.
Doing this around planting beds?
Line the bed with a heavy duty liner and keep it for ornamental and decorative plants only.
No edible gardens.
Heritage ties are the sweet spot here. Character without the premium.
