Tara Place Christmas Tree Farm Update

We want to once again say how truly sorry we are that Tara Place Christmas Tree Farm will not be opening for this Christmas season. This was not an easy decision, and several important factors had to be considered before we reached it.

We know you have other options for purchasing a Christmas tree this year, and we sincerely hope you will support those farms and businesses. Please know that, as a small private farm, we depend on outside brokers to supply our trees and do not have the equipment or transportation needed to pick up trees directly from growers. In addition, operating as a private farm means we must carry additional liability insurance to protect your vehicle and home from any potential damage involving one of our trees. These challenges contributed to our decision to close for the season.

For many years, we have taken pride not just in selling fresh, high-quality Christmas trees, but in offering a warm and memorable holiday experience for your entire family. From Jenni’s famous cider and cookies, to coloring books for the kids, to tie-on service, drilling, shaking, flocking, and netting — we have always tried to make your visit special.

We are truly grateful for your loyalty and support through the years. Thank you so much for understanding our situation this year. We hope your holiday season is filled with joy, peace, and wonderful memories.

At Tara Place Christmas Tree Farm, we’ve always taken pride in offering only the highest quality, freshly cut Fraser firs — trees that are harvested and brought to our farm as quickly as possible to ensure freshness and beauty throughout the holiday season.

While there are many other varieties available, we’ve chosen not to offer them because of their lower needle retention and shorter freshness. Maintaining our standards has always been important to us, and that’s one of the reasons we’ve made the difficult decision **not to open for the 2025 season**.

We know there are less expensive trees out there, but based on our past experience, we simply couldn’t compromise on quality. We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support, and we hope to see everyone again in the future when we can once again offer the premium trees our customers expect and deserve.
