CHB 100 is almost done, waiting on a 2 MOhm Potentiometer to show up. I went out of my comfort zone and ordered a quad set of JJ 7591s. I usually ONLY use Tung Sol tubes, but in light of the political situation with Russian made tubes, I have to look elsewhere for new brands of tubes. With that being said, I was blown out of the water by these tubes! They sound absolutely amazing! Tight bass with crisp mids and highs. This amp is rated for 100 watts, according to the readings on my oscope I was seeing a out 120 watts of output.

Bogan CHB100 7868 to 7591A Conversion and restoration. Some power supply work. Is there anybody out there that knows how to get compatible pots for the bogan tub amps. The pots on this amp are completely shot there is no hope of even attempting to clean them and restore them they are just worn out. My other option is a donor.

Bogan CHB100 100 watt tube amp. This is a quad tube conversion from 7868 tubes/Novar style sockets to 7591A tubes/Octal sockets. I feel that this procedure went pretty smooth. My next steps with this restoration is a recap, new power resistors, and new diodes. 5 amp 1000 volt. Also renewal and adding of an adjustable voltage of the negative bias supply. Probably modifying some of the chassis ground points.
