Silencer Update #2:

1: If you currently have a Class 3 Form 4 "in process" with the ATF and we have the silencer, it will remain in process until we receive the approval or denial. We will not revoke/withdraw the process until we receive specific guidance from the ATF as to how to proceed with this issue.

2: Only Class 3 items purchased through Silencer Shop (for us) can be purchased with a 4473 and approval.

3: Our inventory changes hour to hour and we are doing our best to stay in stock. It's best to come by and see what we have at that time. We are receiving a high volume of calls, please be patient.

4: SBR's & SBS's are NOT part of this injunction. AOW's are.

5: Any specific legal questions involving this process or any other process involving Class 3 transfers need to be directed to the ATF.

Silencer/ AOW Update:

We are excited to announce that we are able to process silencers (Purchased from Silencer Shop Only) via a 4473 + Background check or 4473 + Valid Texas License to Carry Handgun over the counter while the Silencer Shop V. ATF injunction is in place. This is a landmark decision that will have lasting impacts on the industry. We are grateful that a Texas based company like Silencer Shop and the Silencer Shop Foundation could help simplify silencer ownership. Please keep in mind that the ATF will probably appeal within the 60 day time frame, so this situation may be tentative.

What this means for our customers:

1: Any suppressor we have that we purchased from Silencer Shop (which is a majority of what we have and what we can get) can be purchased over the counter as of now with a completed 4473 and background check approval.

2: A " valid" Texas License to Carry Handgun qualifies as an exemption to the NICS background check.

3: Any suppressors or AOW's NOT purchased directly from Silencer Shop do NOT qualify. In other words, if we purchased certain suppressors (like Sonicore Suppressors) directly from the manufacturer, they will still have to be processed through the Form 4 approval process as it has been.

4: This injunction only applies to certain states and to states that do not have a "State Form 4" requirement.

5: Any Silencers that are currently "in Process" waiting on a Form 4 approval will have to remain in process pending an approval.

We are well aware of the recent ruling on suppressors being removed from the NFA act, however, until we have clear and concise guidance from the ATF as to the new guidelines , we will continue to process them as we have always done…through a Form 4 submission through Silencer Shop and approval process with a completed 4473 to accompany it. We will keep our customers updated as the information comes to us. We ask for continued patience during this time.
