This is a palthis moth. The long up curved snout means it is a male. If anyone knows why these moths do wing.pushups everytime they stop somewhere, please let.me know!

It's a jungle out there! This is a promethea moth caterpillar just trying to live its best life and a yellow jacket trying to do the same. It is hard not to root for one or the other but a healtht environment needs us all! But I was glad to see the vaterpillar won this time...

Did anyone lose a newfoundland dog on the Berlin tunpike in Newington? We had a newfoundland dog when I was a kid, but it was a female. This is a male and MUCH BIGGER than the one we had (maybe 300 or 350 pounds). I saw it crossing the median...it hopped right up onto the guardrail and most of the cars never noticed it. I tried to put a collar on it but it kind of glared at me and ran into the woods. This was today, 8/12/2026. Don't drive distracted...keep our kids and pets safe.

Well, I am right now out looking for moths and STEPPED ON this copperhead without getting bit. 10:20 at night. I think it has left the trail, but it is still alive, and I have to walk past it and a long way back to my car. Wish me luck.
