Hello Mythicos Community,
Hope everyone is having a great summer already.
I have a couple of retirement announcements. My dear friend and partner Chris (Father Time) is retiring from Mythicos. I’m sure he is planning many more adventures with his wonderful wife and family and I know he has already scheduled lots of road trips and travel around our great nation in his awesome RV!
Father Time is a Mythicos founder and a brother at arms. He has worked hard to make our retail and gaming studios the wonderful places that they are. Thank you Chris!
We all love Father Time.
Luckily for us all, he will still help us as much as his time allows on some Mythic Earth projects and is joining us at GenCon and of course will be at the shop playing games with the rest of the Silverbacks when he is not traveling.
The other retirement is me! I will be retiring this fall as I’ve hit the 60s!
I’ve had a wonderful time running Mythicos retail but my days at the store are now sunsetting and thus I am leaving the retail side of the business to our new general manager, so Mythicos will go on for another ten years I’m sure and better than ever before.
I will be helping the transition for the next few months and am currently working with the team to implement the upcoming changes to the retail side of the studio and our online offerings. The team will be changing our product mix, minimizing some products, deleting some and expanding other ranges. We will remain focused on tabletop games, hobby supplies and TCGs. But with a much more curated approach. Times are changing and so is the studio.
The gaming studio will remain open to the community as always. It’s been something of a mission for me personally to make great gaming spaces available to the community free of cost for regular usage. I’ve done this as a gaming community organizer for over 30 years! Since my first gaming club back when I lived in Montclair. Over those years I’ve been
Honored to make a ton of great friends. And played many a memorable game.
I am not leaving the Mythicos companies, I am retiring from all retail operations and will now focus on our gaming studio as that I can do from the wider world. Which is where my
Wonderful wife and I will be heading! We plan to travel and enjoy as many beautiful countries as we can. I will continue to head up game and production as Mythic Earth still has more RPG books, Armies, and games to share with the Mythic Earth community. Old Man Eric and I will continue with the MythiCast Podcast and are spending even more
Time on short and long form Mythic Earth content.
Thank you all at the studio for making Mythicos the awesome gaming community that it is. I will see you as often as I can and at the conventions. My most heartfelt thanks go to everyone at the wider Mythicos Community for your enduring kindness and friendship.
