F in Grover Beach, CA is a not-for-profit outreach ministry of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church which is located at 301 Trinity Ave. We serve the community by recycling a wide range of donated articles. We offer clean, usable clothing, kitchenware, gifts and other items which we sort, repair and sell at very reasonable prices. Our mis

sion is to give back to our local community. Each month we make a significant donation from the Thrift Shop proceeds to one of 12 local charitable organizations.

May's donation benefits SLO County Assistance League - transforming the lives of local students for 30 YEARS! Operation School Bell provides new school clothing for students in need, which has shown to boost self-esteem, encourage school attendance and improve academic performance.

St. Barnabas' April donation goes to .... 5 Cities Homeless Coalition, our devoted partner.

She's fully immersed in 5 Cities Homeless Coalition !!! Also pictured, Cassidy Rowland, our Outreach Coordinator.

If you're not familiar with 5CHC (located in Grover Beach), they work hard to service families and individuals by providing the resources, support and hope that they need to become self-sufficient, productive community members. Planning how best to address the needs of the homeless in South San Luis Obispo County today involves many caring citizens and community leaders, and we are taking a collaborative approach to meet the challenge.

St. Barnabas Thrift also accepts 5CHC vouchers which enable unhoused individuals to shop for needed clothing and supplies. Our sweet volunteers help them fill a bag (with socks, underware, jeans, jackets etc) & send them on their way, feeling supported and cared for

Knowing You Matter's Counseling Referral Program began in 2025; it supports those who are struggling with suicidal ideation to create a low-cost, low-barrier opportunity to receive care. This program is a linkage to counseling services for treatment and Knowing You Matter pays for the majority of the service. They are thrilled to help SLO County community in this way.

December's recipient of our monthly $3K donation goes to .... 5 Cities Homeless Coalition (aka: "5CHC"), located @ 100 South 4th Street, Grover Beach.

5CHC is a great partner, consistently supporting our efforts to nurture the homeless population in 5 Cities area of the Central Coast.

They help individuals with immediate needs, providing food, clothing, car repair, medical care (and more). They also assist individuals in obtaining vital personal documents.

Saint Barnabas accepted 361 clothing vouchers (an overall value of $7K in 2025) from 5CHC ... they issue $25 vouchers to homeless folks then they head to our shop to find necessary clothing items.
