A LITTLE OLD - A LITTLE BRAND NEW!
Join us at the Museum's Silver Anniversary party while we celebrate our past but also welcome in the new. Saturday, June 13, 1-4 p.m. at the Museum. In addition to honoring our origins, you can see the Museum's newest addition to our public education goal. A brand new exhibit that combines an authentic Gold Rush ore cart with a custom-painted depiction of a mine shaft. Help us name the Museum's mine!

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND!
Come see the rock climbing exhibit that helped us kick off the Museum back in the summer of 2001. Now we're back to celebrate our Silver Anniversary on Saturday, June 13, at 1 p.m. at the Museum. There will be music, brief remarks by community leaders, tasty cake, and fun stuff for the kids. Be there!

NOW WE KNOW BETTER
Irene Vasquez, a Yosemite Ranger with Southern Mi-Wok heritage, spoke to about 50 Grovelanders on Friday, June 13 about fire management in Yosemite "the traditional way." She shared her personal journey from Mariposa to university and the Park, melding environmental commitment with cultural awareness.
We especially appreciate her visit since she presented solo when her scheduled co-presenter unexpectedly couldn't make it, and since she's expecting a new addition to her family shortly. Thank you for an eye-opening talk!

WE'RE LUCKY TO HAVE THEM VISIT!
On Friday the 5th at 7 p.m. at the Resilience Center, two Yosemite Rangers - Irene Vasquez and Garrett Dickman - are coming to Groveland to share their work with fire management in the Valley. It's an innovative program that incorporates indigenous culture with fire management science. It's part of STCHS's Speaker Series and should be great beginning to a fun summer in the Park. Join us!

CARING FOR OUR PARK - THE TRADITIONAL WAY
On Friday, June 5, 7 p.m., at the Resilience Center, the STCHS Speakers Series offers the chance to learn about the current Yosemite program, "Little Fires." YNP Rangers Irene Vasquez and Garrett Dickman will discuss their efforts to use traditional indigenous methods to manage fires in the Park. It's certain to be interesting and informative - something to think about the next time you visit our favorite Park.
