Spinnin' Yarns Spinnin' Yarns is a local yarn shop in the Northwest Indiana. Spinnin' Yarns is located at 145 N. Griffith Blvd. in Griffith, IN. We welcome and encourage newbies!

We are seeking to meet the needs of knitters/crocheters/weavers and spinners with quality yarns and notions. We are a fiber store providing knitting, crocheting, spinning and weaving supplies as well as instruction (both public classes and private lessons). Questions and problems are answered and fixed at Spinnin' Yarns! Knitting nights are Monday from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday from 11 to 1ish and al

l day on Saturday. We are running a large HEPA filters that filter the entire volume of the store's air twice every day. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please feel free. We carry cleaning and dyeing supplies for knitters who want to dye their own yarns as well as dyes for weavers who want to hand dye their warp or weft! Fiber is available to dye for spinners too! Knitters/crocheters will find yarns from up to 40 different sources. We carry entry level yarns as well as yarns that will satisfy the advanced knitter or crocheter! Weavers will find looms, supplies, and threads including Lunatic Fringe, Mayville rug warp and Mayville (made in US) 8/2 for towels. Spinners will find Schacht spinning wheels! We'd love to see you! Laura is in charge of Spinnin' Yarns this week. Gordon and I are taking a trip to see relatives and see Yellowstone. We are currently in Cody, Wyoming.

I wanted to share the place we are staying with all of you in case Yellowstone is a place you'd like to visit. This is run by Holiday Inn in Cody, WY. It is spotless! Better than a hotel. From the outside you might think..... It can't be that good????? The fee was $124 a night. About 1 hour from Yellowstone.

Food and drink are allowed. Short spinning demos by request. Want to learn how to spin on a spindle? Lessons can be arranged for later

This disaster may take a long time to resolve. I will be at the shop from 10:30 to 1:30 waiting for a shipment. If you have an emergency, stop in but bring cash! No power yet!

Shop will be closed Today August 12th, and Tomorrow, August 13th. We will have to see about Friday. We have no power and Griffith is asking everyone to stay off the roads so they can clear trees and power lines. Stay safe everyone
