We’re popping up at Uptown Forum in Greenville with shelves full of stories that challenge, comfort, unravel, heal, and stay with you long after the last page.

The Kindred Chapter isn’t about mainstream picks or algorithm favorites. We center women, underrepresented voices, local authors, messy emotions, quiet truths, and books that make people feel seen. 🤍

You can find The Kindred Chapter at the Uptown Forum (front lobby) during Festival of the Arts on May 9th from 10a–3p.

This is our first official step into bringing the bookstore to life beyond the screen—and we can’t wait to meet you, talk books, and create a little pocket of something cozy in the middle of it all.

We’re not just a bookstore.

We’re building something a little different—
a space centered around connection, community, and stories that actually mean something.

Right now, we exist online and through pop-ups, curating books that reflect identity, healing, growth, and lived experiences. The goal isn’t to overwhelm you with options—it’s to help you find the book that feels like it was meant for you.

But this is just the beginning.

The long-term vision is a physical space—one that feels calm, welcoming, and safe. A place where you can browse slowly, sit for a while, join a book club, or simply exist without feeling rushed.

Because we believe bookstores can be more than retail spaces.
They can be places where people feel seen.
