It’s not a fall pop-up without a little Halloween magic!

Skeleton witches, glowing jack-o’-lanterns, “Witch’s Brew,” black cats, and just enough spooky to keep things interesting.

Just hit the annual Brown County Animal Shelter sale and, as always, it did not disappoint!

This year’s haul is packed with amazing finds — I walked away with some absolute gems. I love supporting a great cause while scoring unique pieces you won’t find anywhere else.

Already planning what I’m keeping and what might get a second life. If you haven’t been to one of these sales yet, mark your calendar for next year… you won’t regret it!

Found the perfect one.

Saw a vignette the other week built around an old camera bag and of course I had to go hunting. This one’s falling apart in all the right ways—soft, cracked leather, loose stitching, that beautiful worn-in smell.

Exactly what I was after.

I’d recently found a couple of old cameras, and somehow everything just came together.

It’s not pristine. It’s better than that.

School is officially back in session, and today’s post is dedicated to all of the amazing teachers, educators, and school staff stepping back into the classroom!

To mark the start of the new school year, I worked up a new vignette featuring a few new-to-me vintage finds gathered over recent trips.

To every educator pouring their heart, patience, and energy into our children and community: thank you for helping shape our youth for the future. Your hard work, care, and inspiration do not go unnoticed, and we appreciate you!

Day 2 of the 127 Sale was a whirlwind, but we survived!

Sean came along with me on Saturday, and we made the three-hour drive bright and early up to Van Wert, Ohio, before working our way back home. It was a long, scorching hot day on the road, but every single mile was completely worth it.

Here are the Day 2 treasures we hauled back! The very last photo shows the grand total combination from both days of picking. Honestly, it looks like an entire booth setup all on its own, and I am head over heels for every single piece. We’re holding onto about ten keeper items for ourselves, but the rest will be making their way to the shop soon.

We’re already talking strategy and mapping out our route for next year. Until then, time to clean, prep, and get all these new vintage goods ready for you!

A complete refresh at the Farmhouse 180 booth!

The booth is filled with a fresh mix of farmhouse vintage, primitive pieces, dishes, and mixed media—lots of old wood, iron, rusty crusty finds, and those unexpected little pieces that make a vignette come together.

And when we say rusty crusty… just look at that old skillet with the vintage potato masher!

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t feeling those tomato salt & pepper shakers when I bought them. But I couldn’t leave them behind because I had bought all the other shakers in the tray with them.

Then I styled them with that vintage Jell-O recipe book and suddenly… I LOVE THEM!

It’s a perfect example of why I love putting these pieces together. Sometimes it’s not the piece itself—it’s how you style it. The right combination can completely change the way you see something.

Our FIRST year at the 127 Highway Sale!

And let me tell you… I only made it to THREE of the huge stops and a whole bunch of little ones! Day 1 and I am EXHAUSTED, but that haul?! AMAZING!

What an experience! So much to see, so many treasures, and definitely not enough hours in the day. We are just getting started, and I already know this trip is going to be one for the books!

And that last picture… She said, “Fill a bag for $5.” Some of my favorite words! So I filled it. She looked at my bag and said, “Oh my…you got a deal!”

Yes mam. I’d say Day 1 was a success!

Behind the scenes isn't always picture-perfect.

You see the finished vignettes, the beautifully styled shelves, and the tables all set up for a pop-up. What you don't see are the miles driven, the dusty barns, the overflowing "death piles," the scrubbing, sorting, organizing, researching, pricing, and tagging, staging.

Every piece takes a little work before it's ready for its next home.

We do all of that so you can simply enjoy the hunt, discover something you love, and take home a piece with a story that's ready for its next chapter.

Thank you for supporting what we do and for giving these amazing finds a second... or third... or even fifth life. We wouldn't have it any other way.
