Hello to You All,
Sherri and I would like to extend our sincerest appreciation and thanks to you all for another incredible year for Buffalo Boogie Records! As we round the corner into 2022 we look forward to serving the vinyl community once again with an amazing selection of great records.
In lieu of the continuing rise in Covid-19 cases we will be temporarily closing the shop for two weeks beginning Wednesday, January the 5th through Tuesday, January the 18th. We will reopen Wednesday, January the 19th. This will also give us time to restock our inventory and take a bit of a break after a very busy year. During this time if you have records you would like to sell or trade we would be happy to meet you at the shop by appointment. Also, if there is a special order of new vinyl you would like for us to make we be glad to place an order for you. Just give us a call at 336 392 5515.
Thank you for your understanding during these next two weeks. We wish everyone a very safe and healthy New Year!
Our best to all the best!
Mike, Sherri and Rocky

Hello To You All,

Here's hoping all is well in your households and the music has kept you dancing. With Spring about to
Spring, vaccines becoming more available and the optimism of a return to a more normal lifestyle immanent, let’s keep our eyes on the light at the end of this crazy tunnel we've all had to travel, not being quite there yet, but mighty close. I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for all you've done in helping to keep Buffalo Boogie Records rolling down this rocky road we've all had to navigate.

As some of you may know or not know, along with being a record merchant, I'm also a videographer. Since starting Buffalo Boogie Records in late 2018, I still do a couple of gigs a year to keep my photographic mojo satisfied. After 50 years of film and video work I'm pretty much retired from that world, however a longtime client of mine made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Soooo, I'm going to be shooting a job in Connecticut next week and will be temporarily closing the shop beginning this Sunday March 21st through next Friday March 26th . The shop will reopen Saturday the 27th at the normal 10:00 time and the usual shop schedule will resume. This Saturday the 20th, I'll be closing at 5 instead of the usual 8pm time due to heading north at the crack of dawn on Sunday.. Thank you all in advance for your understanding!

In the meantime, keep the vinyl spinning and speakers pumping out tunes that get them shoes sailing.
Have a great week and see ya soon!

All my best to all of the best!

Mike

Greetings to Everyone,

I'm sending this notice to inform you that Buffalo Boogie Records will be temporarily closed from January 14th until Tuesday February the 2nd due to the recent rise in the infection rate of the Coronavirus in Greensboro. If for whatever reason the re-opening date shifts I will let you know.. According to the most recent White House Covid-19 Task Force report, as many of you may know by now, Greensboro is ranked 4th in the nation for midsized metropolitan cities with the highest percent of positive rates and worst case trends over the last eight weeks. In the period between December 31st and January 6th the rate went up nearly 50%. I will however be available to schedule individual appointments with anyone between now and February 3rd to come and shop or if you may have records or stereo gear to sell. Simply call or text the shop number 336-392-5515 and I would be glad to meet you in the shop on a one to one basis. I also plan to take time during this period to restock bins and do a bit of overall maintenance and re-organizing.

Temporarily closing the shop was a very difficult decision to make and I hope all of you understand my reasoning for doing so. I'm so very grateful for you all for the friendships which have been formed and the overwhelming continuing support of Buffalo Boogie Records over the past two years! Sherri and I vow to do our upmost to keep Buffalo Boogie Records rockin' n rollin' with an amazing selection of vinyl and analog stereo gear for a long time to come. Most importantly and above all take extremely good care of yourselves, family and friends....

All our best,

Mike, Sherri and Rocky

Another huge Buffalo size THANK YOU to you all for your continuing support of our shop! Big virtual hug to each and everyone!!.. We're still here and growing by the day all because of you and our combined love of music.. A big shout out to all our Brothers and Sisters who feel the power in the magic of music to soothe the soul and take us on trips to places far away down dry dusty roads, rivers and sometimes even galaxies way beyond the telescope, never packing a suitcase or leaving home,.... “ And take me disappearing through the smoke rings of my mind, Down the foggy ruins of time, Far past the frozen leaves, The haunted frightened trees, Out to the windy beach, Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow, Yes to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free, Silhouetted by the sea, Circled by the circus sands, With all memory and fate, Driven deep beneath the waves, Let me forget about today until tomorrow” Bob Dylan

A Very Merry Holiday Season!

All our best wishes for one and all,

Mike, Sherri and Rocky

Hello to the Buffalo Gang,

No doubt 2020 has been like no other in our lifetimes, however Buffalo Boogie Records has many things to be thankful for, most of which are each and everyone of you! We recently reached our second anniversary and you all have made it happen, keeping us afloat during these most challenging times and we are so very thankful and grateful for you all...

As most of you are aware Black Friday will be the fourth and final installment of Record Store Day for 2020. The Vinyl Universe has shined down upon Buffalo Boogie Records once again and has bestowed upon us an amazing array of selections from Pearl Jam “Completely Unplugged” to the Beastie Boys “Same Old BS” to Drive-By Truckers at “Plan 9 Records” a Special Numbered Limited Edition where the band laid down a blistering set in a record store in Richmond, Va to a packed house on 07/13/ 06. Then there's Alice in Chains “SAP” the bands 2nd studio Ep on vinyl for the 1st time ever and Lou Reed “Live at Alice Tully Hall” Reed's live 1/27/73 debut as a solo artist at the Lincoln Center venue during his Transformer Tour. Other's are Motorhead “On Parole” recorded in 75/76 and originally intended to be Motorhead's debut album then released in 1979, this version is extended and beautifully remastered, Curtis Knight and the Squires “PPX Sessions Vol. 2” featuring Jimi Hendrix as a pre Experience sideman recorded in July and August of 1967 offering a glimpse of his genius before he exploded onto the world stage, a numbered limited brown vinyl release. Also just in time for the holiday season Jerry Garcia Band “Garcia Live Vol 2 8/5/90 at the Greek Theater in Berkley, an historic show Dead Heads have talked about for years now on a vinyl 4 LP Box Set with special appearances by Bella Fleck. Another box set worth mentioning is John Prine “The Asylum Albums”, and here it is ya'll, drum roll...... THE ROLLING STONES “LET IT BLEED COLLECTORS EDITION”... the Buffalo was very lucky to get a copy of this one. Each copy of this exclusive remaster by the man himself, Bob Ludwig, was handcrafted on the press, using layers of color onto the press by hand, each piece is unique in design with no two records alike soon to be one of the rarest variant pressings in the world resulting in each record poured a one of a kind vinyl record. Only 900 pressed. It comes with a Hand-Numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Plus releases by Weeknd, Norah Jones, Snoop Dog, Painted Shield, Sharon Jones and too many more to list. However, I will mention one more.. Motorhead's “Ace of Spades” single with the dudes in Santa Suits, signed and includes a holiday ornament.. If that isn't enough to blow your hair back all used records in the store will be 15% off this Friday, 10% off Saturday and Sunday.....

WOW!! huh? This is gonna be a great day in the history of RSD.. The store will open at 8am and close at 8pm. I would strongly encourage you to get here early as this will be the greatest selection of RSD vinyl to come down the pike in quite a while. As has been in previous RSD events during covid, all RSD records will be upfront and single displayed for quick access. Limit of five customers at a time, masks required covering the nose and sanitize upon entering. As many of you know Buffalo Boogie has also installed an in-line air purification system for the safety of us all during these crazy times.... Soooo, bring a chair and coffee.. weather looks good Friday morning... looking forward to seeing the herd on Friday and throughout this eventful weekend....

All our best to you.. Make it a good Thanksgiving!

Mike, Sherri and Rocky

Hello Everyone,
As many of you know Buffalo Boogie Records has relocated the store to 1827- B Spring Garden in Greensboro. A month and a half ago, when it was a very different world, we had projected to open March 18th. Given the current health crisis in the country, state and for that matter the world is now facing, we will remain closed until further notice. I’m sure the latest on the store plans comes as no surprise. Sheri and I feel the health and wellbeing of all of you and ourselves is far more important than anything else. Please keep in mind we will definitely be reopening after we feel it is safe to do so in a much larger space with much more inventory. Times such as these is when our music libraries become even more of a staple in our lives.. Since the beginning of time music has been healer of the soul and soother of mind and spirit. Until we meet again stay safe, be aware and let the music fill the air…
All our best,
Mike and Sherri

Today (Saturday, Feb 22nd) is the final day at our current location on Pomona Drive! Have no fear! We are not closing; we are moving to a new location in Greensboro. The owner of our Pomona Drive location will be selling the building and we have no other choice except to move on. The good news is we’ve found another really cool place to relocate to. Our future address will be 1827-B Spring Garden in Greensboro. Our new shop will be located directly across the parking lot from the Blind Tiger. As many of you know the Blind Tiger has a great music venue featuring nationally touring bands and the best of the triad’s local musicians.

We are now targeting to reopen at our new location at 1827-B Spring Garden on Wednesday March the 18th at noon. If all goes super smooth with our move and transition, we will notify you if we open earlier than anticipated. Our phone number will remain the same 336-392-5515. Please give us a call or text with any questions you may have.

Sherri and I are so very grateful to all of you for the good vibes, incredible support, and wonderful times you’ve given us over in the past 14 months since our original opening. We vow to continue to provide you with the same amazing selections of vinyl featuring an array of genres, a really fun place to shop and explore new music, and as always a strong sense of community in a place to come and enjoy. We’re certainly looking forward to the next phase of Buffalo Boogie Records and hope to see you all soon.

Most sincerely,

Mike and Sherri
