Conspire: Contemporary Craft is a retail boutique on the square in Greencastle, Indiana specializing in high quality modern handmade products and local foods. It features a carefully juried collection of functional handmade housewares, prints, paper goods, accessories and bath & body products, as well as the Black Cat Gallery rotating local art space. The mission of Conspire: Contemporary Craft is

to reconnect consumers with makers by bringing the best of modern handmade art and craft to our area, and to support local artisans with a venue for networking and for showing their work. Our goal is to become a local destination that offers unusual, functional, and high quality products as an alternative to goods that are mass produced by corporations.

Featured Artist: Wildwood Press 🪵

Based in rural Putnam County, Indiana, Matt Reese finds endless inspiration in the natural world — especially birds and wildlife. 🐦🌿

With a background in Natural History Illustration and training under renowned printmaker Tom Huck of St. Louis, woodblock printing has become the heart of their artistic practice. After apprenticing with Tom Huck and Evil Prints, they launched their own printshop: Wildwood Press.

Deeply passionate about conservation and habitat protection, much of their work supports organizations dedicated to protecting Indiana wildlife and the habitats our feathered friends call home. 💛

Featured Artist: Jean Patrick 🐈‍⬛

Jean Patrick is a multi-media artist from Wabash County, Indiana, raised in Fulton County. Her work ranges from billboards and business logos to flyers and murals, bringing creativity to both everyday spaces and personal projects.

She began her tattoo journey in 2021, completing a two-year apprenticeship at Take Action Tattoo & Tabletop Gaming, where she continues to create today. Her style blends illustration and semi-realism, with everything from scenery to abstract pieces.

Jean loves getting her hands messy and prefers creating outside of digital tools, keeping her work raw and authentic. A proud mom of three and married to her high school sweetheart, she brings passion and heart into everything she creates.

Evie is a recent graduate of Grinnell College, where she double majored in Studio Art and Anthropology (Biological Anthropology).

Originally from Crawfordsville, Indiana, she draws inspiration from both the natural world and storytelling traditions.

Her work explores multiple mediums — especially ceramics and textiles, while also incorporating printmaking and painting.

Influenced by biology, nature, folklore, and the darker side of fairy tales, Evie creates pieces that feel both beautiful and a little mysterious.

Through her art, she hopes to inspire others to find the beauty in the weird, macabre, and fun.
