Multi Iridescent Psiloceras Planorbis Death Bed
📍Somerset Jurassic Coast, UK.

This limestone host rock contains two beautifully preserved Psiloceras planorbis ammonites, displaying vivid flashes of red, bronze, blue, and golden iridescence, making them one of the most visually striking British Jurassic ammonites.

The ammonites measure between 2 and 2.5cm in diameter, the shells retains crisp, well-defined whorls, with elegant spiral growth beautifully preserved across the matrix. The surrounding limestone slab is itself display-worthy, featuring a cut base for presentation and an additional third ammonite imprint on the back side (likely another Psiloceras planorbis) that adds character and interest to the piece.

Recovered from the Somerset Jurassic Coast, the specimen has been delicately prepared to reveal the stunning fossils beneath the stone, 100% nature with no repairs or restoration .

Discover a truly exceptional piece of medieval craftsmanship and symbolism: a silver pentagram ring, dating from late 10th-11th century Europe (approximately 875-1,050 years ago).

This medieval silver ring was likely worn as a personal talisman, deliberately imbued with protective “magical” power by its original owner.

Carefully hand-engraved, this rare ring features a lightly incised pentagram on the bezel, with characteristic irregularities including uneven lines, slight overshooting, and one point that does not fully meet — hallmarks of authentic medieval handcrafting. Surrounding the star are small circular punch marks along the bezel, with three additional punch marks positioned between each point of the star, consistent with medieval talismanic practice and apotropaic purposes, a common belief in the Middle Ages, enhancing its role as a talisman in daily life.

In the medieval worldview, symbols like the pentagram were believed to ward off misfortune, illness, and spiritual harm, blending faith and everyday ritual. Yet the design itself is deeply rooted in Christian symbolism: historically the five points of the pentagram represent the five wounds of Christ, while the three punch marks between each point may reference the Holy Trinity. Centuries before this ring was worn, the pentagram carried spiritual meaning within Christianity, and by the 10th-11th century, medieval wearers harnessed that symbolism in a practical, almost magical way, merging devotion with personal protection.

This exceptional dinosaur toe claw represents the iconic Dromaeosaur ‘raptor’, the product of over 90 million years of evolutionary refinement. This fossil was collected from private ranch in the renowned Lance Formation of Weston County, Wyoming, USA, which dates back approximately 68-66 million years ago.

The claws preservation extends to the defined blood groove, beautifully preserved and running clearly along the inner curve, highlighting the fine anatomical detail that rarely survives millions of years. The natural patina and bone texture are equally striking, with subtle color variations and dynamic character. It remains in its true natural state, in ‘as found condition’, which can be said for very few claws nowadays.

This claw hails from the Lance Formation of Weston County, Wyoming, USA, dating to approximately 66–68 million years ago. During the Late Cretaceous, this region formed part of the coastline of an ancient inland sea that stretched across the heart of North America, creating a lush and diverse ecosystem. The area supported towering predators such as Tyrannosaurus rex, dome-headed Pachycephalosaurus, and horned Triceratops, alongside abundant herbivores including Edmontosaurus, Thescelosaurus, and the fleet-footed Struthiomimus.
Amid this dynamic environment, nimble dromaeosaurs—members of the Dromaeosauridae family such as Acheroraptor and Dakotaraptor hunted and thrived, their curved, sickle-shaped claws giving them remarkable predatory efficiency.

This rare outstretched-wing design and enamel colouration is exceptionally well-preserved, a striking example of Romano-British craftsmanship.
