The very rare Gibson G-101 combo organ made famous by Ray Manzarek of The Doors in for new bushings, power supply rebuild, recapping, general repairs and a thorough cleaning/lubrication. These pieces are always a lot of work. There are only a few shops left in the United States that are still actively servicing these units and doing a good job of it. Branson SoundWorks is one of those shops.

An HH Scott 222C in for servicing and replacement of an a-symmetrical volume potentiometer. I also replaced what were supposed to be "premium" can capacitors with actual premium can capacitors. I decided to cut one open to see what was going on inside and it appears this company is just taking small format, cheap capacitors and embedding them in durhams rockhard and epoxy and selling them for more money than the actual premium can capacitors. To my knowledge there are only two companies on Earth that are making real twist lock can capacitors and that is F&T of Germany and CE Manufacturing based in Arizona.

Marshall DSL40, Marshall JCM2000, Fender Super Sonic, and a Mesa Lonestar Special in for servicing. Many shops will decline to work on Mesa's. I do not have enough good sense to decline Mesa repairs and so end up with one on the bench from time to time. They seem to allow me to repair them.

1946 Fender Deluxe "Woody" in the shop for full servicing. The very first Fender amplifier. Only a few original components were still in the amp after 79 years and out of those few original components only 1 was still in spec. The circuit was modified pretty far away from the original as well. I returned the audio circuit to the original factory schematic. In an amplifier this old it is often a compromise between originality, safety and useability. I always learn towards safety and useability, in that order. Amplifiers were built to make music, not sit on shelf being gawked at.

Neumann U87 in for go over of electronics and replacement of the capsule. A single drop of a condenser mic can damage the capsule irreparably and it is an exceedingly delicate operation to install a new one or re-skin the old one.
