Some advice to my FB friends on your car or truck A/C. Many of you have seen advertisements on recharging your car A/C on tv. What they don't mention is that every time you lose refrigerant you loose the oil that keeps the compressor lubricated. After 1 or 2 recharges you will lose all the oil in your system. You must add oil to the recharge to keep compressor lubricated. Many times I have customers come to me saying I recharged system and now compressor seized up. Compressors in autos do not hold oil they depend on oil mixed with refrigerant to lubricate system. Hope this information will save you $$$$$.

Dryer Advice.
Now that cooler weather is approaching more of us will be using dryers. Please make sure you check vent for blockage, birds and rodents love to make nest there. Also make sure the flapper on the vent is not obstructed. A normal dry time for a large load of clothes is 50-60 min.
Many times I go on a svs call to find that washer is not spinning out properly, causing a long dry times, and most importantly TOO MUCH DET. being used, clothes saturated in soap will not dry !! If your clothes smell funky after wearing a short period of time or your towels smell after using you may be using too much det.
Best way to tell is put your laundry in washer and run with no det. Open lid and see if suds exist, If it does you need to cut down on det.
Also, children will experience rashes from this same problem !

Advice
Gas and Electric stove advice
I always advise not to put your stove in SELF CLEAN CYCLE before the holidays. Most of my stove service calls during this time are due to self clean cycle issues. During clean temperatures reach between 600-900 deg. These hi temps although are safe for your stove they can cause havoc on components. t-stats, lock assembles, sensors, glass panels, and controls are all vulnerable to these hi temps. Try the new oven cleaners for self clean ovens or wait till after holidays to clean.
