Where happiness and home decor meet

This is a husband and wife team, (Jerry and Kristie), who love what they do, are inspired to take on the next challenge, and are in awe of where life has taken them. Here is our story.

We were both from large cities and enjoyed spending our time actively doing something, but we found ourselves living in a small town in middle america where even the stoplight stop running at 9 pm. We were beside ourselves and yearning for something to keep us busy. We toyed with the idea of crafting and a variety of other activities but it wasn't until Jerry was rated 100% disabled by the VA from his 12 years of service with the US Army that we knew we had to do something. He became a stay at home dad. This was a drastic change from what our lifestyles were before so we started slow. We made our first project. Just something to keep us busy. A fire pit storage box where all the blankets, chairs, roasters and necessities were placed. That was it. That simple box sparked a love in us that never died.

We decided we wanted to do this for real... (you know as a business). So we took all we had: a hand sander, miter saw, and good intent and formed BBE Signs and Designs. What a ride! We would sell products on social media and at regular craft fairs. We were growing faster than we could comprehend. Our one hand sander and saw expanded to a 800 sqft shop full equipped. Then one day Kristie had a feeling that they should open a store. Of course that did not come without doubt but after searching for just the right place... (twice), they opened That Hipster Place.
