Haven't been in the studio for so long it felt sooo good to get back on the wheel. Been one hell of a year! These three pieces here are incredibly valuable us to as they contain my father's ashes inside. They were created by my son Nickolas Sanchez whose work will never cease to amaze me. Under hot red molten glass he created a storm of energy spinning his grandfather's energy to the top. He's been gone 24 years however he is still very much alive! I am going to facet them. See what happens...

Back in the studio again! It's always a pleasure! Forgot to show what I did with that giant Aquamarine crystal. After it was cleaned up and faceted it turned out to be the most incredible crystal I have ever held in my hand! I have never seen anything like it...let alone pull it out of the rough :)

Been a while but I am BACK IN THE STUDIO!!! I have
been commissioned by a client to clean up this incredible specimen of Aquamarine Crystal. I will take the top slant down flat and looks like about 3/8 of an inch off the bottom. Clean up the sides. There is a lot of cool stuff going inside this crystal :)

It has been a while since I have been able to work on crystal as arthritis has begun to develop not allowing me to hold and sculpt fine work. Being the OCD freak that I am...Obsessive Creative Disorder I have picked up other crafts to keep the creative juices flowing. I have been approached by more strangers than ever in my life regarding the Tie Dye work that I have been doing. This shirt in fact. They want to know where I got it because they want one.I have promised these strangers that I would post more of what I have done here while I work on creating another page for them. Back in the studio! For a few moments here and there. This is one of the latest Pendants. This Talon is made from Picasso Stone and Mahogany Obsidian with a slice of COE96 Opaque White glass streaming through.

Whoa! Check out this new piece of Piezoelectric Quartz I just scored! Man made this quartz can kick out a measurable volt of electricity when struck, tapped or squeezed. It has several uses in today's Industries. For example, on your gas stove.... that clicking that is making the spark? A small piece of this stuff. I am going to make a pendant with it like I did the last piece of Piezoelectric Quartz I scored. The surface has a mind boggling texture.

Hands DOWN! The largest Quartz Crystal I have ever held in my hand. It stands 14 inches tall and is only half of its original length. Broken into three pieces I have been commissioned to facet a tip on this one as well as the other two pieces. Yes Ladies and gents I AM BACK!!!

Super stoked about this quartz! That's right! Actual man made Quartz. The surface is AMAZING! Piezoelectric Quartz is used in a variety of applications as it produces a measurable voltage of electricity that can be stored. By hitting it or squeezing it, the atoms move and the friction causes a spike of electricity. Gas stoves use piezoelectric quartz crystal to spark the flame. This is the first pendant from it, more to come!

First EVER Rutilated Quartz Pendant! I love the material! This stone is known for producing positive energetic movement while unclogging the mind to bring about focus. It is a much softer stone than I thought it would be. This one has Orange Dichroic but the color doesn't seem to come through all too well, the next one will be thinner.
