The fat from 3 untrimmed tritips yielded about 11ounces of beef fat or beef tallow. The tritip was 4.99 lb. If you bought beef tallow here in our local supermarket it would cost u 14.99 for 11 ounces.. a little bit of work and you have some really good tallow..
