We will have Blind Date with a Craft Mystery Bags, Reclaimed Craft Kits, a handful of our Makers Market vendors, macrame galore, and what I’m calling “Care Bear Trucker Hats”… pretty pumped about those, honestly.
See you there! 10am - 4pm!

Huge fabric restock in the shop! The fabric wall is overflowing and the remnant bins are stuffed! Check out a few of my favorite finds… that dreamy summery floral came in folded around that perfect pattern and I think it’s meant to be a garden party dress for someone! And if you were really missing the 90’s prom scene, that hunter green satin with iridescent glitter will heal you. (And that Eric Carle print would be so killer in a kids room… I’m thinking curtains and pillows…)

So what IS Felted Soap????
Felted Soap is an actual bar of real soap that has had a layer of sheep wool wet felted around it to create a beautiful, soft, strong, endlessly scrubby soap with a built in washcloth! It’s one of those perfect trifectas of functional handmade art.
The felting process infuses the soap into the fibers so you are left with a bar of soap that will last longer, be easier and safer to handle (more grip), and has a natural exfoliator built right in.
The bar of soap will eventually wear down which brings you to the second phase of life for this handmade object… All you have to do is cut a small hole in the wool and you can add a new bar or fill it up with the tiny soap scraps you’ve been collecting since 2004.
Join us for Felted Soap class this Saturday at 10:30am! Sign up details on the website.

As a general rule, we don’t normally take unfinished projects… but rules are made to be interpreted and today my interpretation of that rule was “We don’t take unfinished projects EXCEPT for those absolutely adorable dino stuffies who only need their legs sewn on!”
If you would like to adopt an unfinished dinosaur stuffie… stop by the shop! We have two who need minimal surgery (leg attachment, legs provided) and others that need quite a bit more work but are guaranteed to be just as ferocious and cuddly.

Contrary to what it might look like, there are not 5 simultaneous classes happening in the workshop, that’s just me and my unfocused brain who decided today was the day to DO ALL THE PROJECTS. AT THE SAME TIME. Sometimes I Chaos Craft too close to the sun.
No joke, there are at least eight different projects in progress on this table. It’s like an I Spy of craft tools I should probably use only under adult supervision.
This sort of chaos isn’t an every day thing but sometimes it feels so good to just give your brain a Yes day and let it go wild.
Consider this hot mess your permission slip to do all the things, make all the messes, feel all the feelings, sink into the chaos for a couple hours. Unrestrained play is for grown ups too… just remember to unplug your iron.

Community Fundraiser!!
Our local elementary school (Grantham Village School) has a 5th Grade Destination Imagination (DI) team that won their state competition and qualified for Globals! The community is fundraising to help send them on this once in a lifetime experience.
To do our part for our small but mighty community, we are hosting three fundraiser classes. 100% of the proceeds from these classes will go to The Dizzy Iguanas. We are so proud of this team; it takes an incredible amount of work, dedication, and commitment to get to this level of competition!
The upcoming fundraiser classes are:
Shrinky D**k Charm Bracelets - Friday April 24th at 4pm (This is an all-ages class designed for a child and caregiver to attend together)
Kinusaiga Decorative Ball - Saturday May 2nd at 10:30am
Kinusaiga Decorative Ball - Sunday May 3rd at 2:00pm
Registration information at craftandfound.com/register … Look for the classes with “DI Fundraiser” in the title!
