With settling in for a summer slow down - I hope to sit around a table a little more often than the kitchen island. Both are great for gathering but I like the lingering done at the table.

Call me old fashioned - but I especially love it on Sunday. How about you - island or dining room?

With the long weekend ahead - let's give ourselves permission to linger. Not just stop working. Linger.

Sit on the porch in your pajamas longer than feels right. Watch the kids play or the horses nibble without pulling out your phone to document it. Let your coffee (tea for me) get cold in the cup while you get lost in thought or conversation.

Rest isn't what you earn. It's what keeps you present enough to notice your actual life happening. I'm committing to lingering on purpose this weekend. Hopefully, in these pajamas that are literally from our REST collection.

If you're road tripping this weekend, we are open 3 days so you can sneak in a stop! What's your MUST on a road trip - coffee, flowers, antiques?

This is going to sound strange - but if you've never seen the flags at our sweet little cemetery (just past the barn) it's something to see! We also have a new little bakery she shed in town, a couple of new Amish stores nearby. For our full list of "R7 favorite stops" drop , and I'll send those over to you!

I was taught to die to self.

So I said yes to everyone.
Showed up for everything.
Made sure everyone was taken care of.

Dying to self is not the same as killing yourself.

Jesus withdrew. He rested. He said no so He could say yes to what mattered.

That's not selfish. That's wisdom.
