KarelCreates Hi—I’m Andrea Karel and I’m lucky enough to run this little business with my husband Jared. I could not run this thing without him!

A little about us: we’ve been friends for 13 years, a couple for 6, & married for 2. One thing we have always connected on is our creative energy and sense of aesthetics. We believe beauty is everywhere; we especially love and appreciate when form meets function in unique or unexpected ways. I have been working with clay as far back as I can remember; however, after graduating college with my Art

Education degree & certificate, I no longer had access to the amazing campus ceramics studio that had become like a second home. After two years as a preK-8th grade art teacher, I knew I needed to refocus on my own creative outlets so I resigned and began this little adventure, Karel.Creates! I stumbled across polymer clay at the end of 2019 and haven’t been able to keep my hands off it since! Jared is a videographer/photographer with experience in graphic design and content creation, so he is the genius behind all our product photos, social media posts, graphics, and cool videos. He holds a degree in Marketing and Sales which have been amazing assets in growing our new business.
