June book club pick is THE ROAD TO TENDER HEARTS by Annie Hartnett.
Have you read this darkly comic road trip novel?

Our review from bookseller Kestrel:
An absolutely hilarious and heartfelt story of working through grief and trauma, and finding love in unanticipated people. I loved all of the characters so much, from grouchy and somewhat of a trickster PJ, exasperated Sophie, driven and heartbroken Luna, and the sweet spirited Ollie. And of course, Pancakes, the harbinger of death cat. Full of moments that will leave you laughing or crying, this was a totally delightful read for those who enjoyed the film Little Miss Sunshine.

I am really enjoying our May book club pick: Under the Same Stars by Libba Bray.

This historical fiction follows German teenagers in a village in the 1940s, an American teen and punk German teens in 1980s Berlin, and American teens in 2020 trying to solve a mystery from the 1940s timeline. The writing is lively and hopeful; not as dark as some WWII books. I’m enjoying all the characters and their high spirits in the resistance. And I’m looking forward to see how they all tie together and solve the mystery in the end!

We have lots of paperback copies at the store, or we can ship one to you from drurylanebooks.com !
