I don’t know what the key to happiness is, but I’m pretty sure it involves generosity…

“Things I don’t do as a business owner…”

I don’t believe every decision should start with, “What makes the most money?”

I don’t believe people are just customers.

I don’t believe success is measured only by sales, followers, or how fast we grow.

And I definitely don’t believe business has to be people vs. profit.

At Greater Good Exchange, we believe there’s another way.

A way where what you buy can do more. Where your purchase can support a person, a purpose, or a community. Where doing good is part of doing business.

Because at the end of the day, people matter more than profit. ❤️

Wow. I can only imagine the support some of my own family members could have used and been blessed by back in 2014 when their daughter was born.

Thank you everyone for submitting your nominations and for showing love and gathering around several non-profits that are doing the GOOD work!

I hope to do this again, at least once or twice per year. So stay close!

Lastly, I also wanted to use this as a tribute to my dad who passed in 2024. Today would have been his 87th birthday. He was a lot of things and one of those things was generous. Thank you for showing me the way.

It’s my top 5 worth the money, market edition!

🎪a quality MARKET TENT for shade, display, a space you can call your own, keeps out the elements, & more!

🪧 spend some time on CLEAR SIGNAGE. This one is so often skipped. I think people want customers to ask about the price but a lot just won’t.

🍶 nothing beats an INSULATED WATERBOTTLE in any kind of weather but especially summer heat. Just fork over the $ and maybe even buy 2!

👟 Maybe it’s my age and years of wearing flip flops but my tootsies can no longer hack it without COMFY SHOES. It’s the gift to yourself that keeps on giving!

☺️ It’s a must and it’s free—A GOOD ATTITUDE. This has gone farther than any of these others when it comes to being successful at a market, I’m serious. Find the bright side or blessing in every situation. Count what you can learn despite the circumstances and you’ll grow every time.
