Linda, a former elementary school teacher, local physician’s wife and mother of 2 daughters began this long and fulfilling career on the town square of Granbury, a sleepy little town nestled on Lake Granbury, 30 miles southwest of Ft. Evolving seems to be the operative word whether I am speaking of my life, my business or the town square. With the assistance of some farsighted and passionate pione
ers our “little town” full of Civil War history began to establish itself as a model for historic preservation and a destination for tourists. I began to respond to the added traffic thanks to the preservation by reading every trade magazine I could get my hands on and traveling to markets in Atlanta, New York City, Los Angeles and of course Dallas, always looking for the special something that would make Almost Heaven new and exciting. My life as those of most did not play out as I had planned. My husband died unexpectedly in 1991 and I found myself the sole provider for myself and my two daughters who luckily were launched in their own careers. In 1998, I met and married my husband and new business partner. Rodger brings a lifelong knowledge of decorating styles and a keen business sense to Almost Heaven. The two of us compliment each other and together offer you new and exciting merchandise backed by years of experience and knowledge. Thank you,
Linda & Rodger Preston
