I have been on several service calls recently because of propane problems. So I thought I would share this information.
When you open the valve on the propane bottle, do it very slowly. Pretend that you are opening a shaken up 20oz Coke bottle. Once you get at least one full turn of the k**b, you can go ahead and spin it all the way open. Also you want it to be all the way open. There is a check valve in the hose that will sometimes slam shut if you open it too fast.
