Our electric is out! No word, yet, as to when it will be restored. But with these storms, it could be awhile.. thinking hours, not days (fingers crossed) so I will be closing up early.

We are closed on Sundays and Mondays. If you are participating in the All Ohio Shop Hop, Our hours in the magazine are NOT correct.

We will be open, Sunday, August 16 For the SW Region Shop Hop Sunday (11 - 4) We will not be open Sunday, September 13 (This is also wrong in the magazine)

The Block of the Month Kits and Mystery Quilt "Clues" are ready for August!! Please note, I do not hang the block of the month blocks on the wall during the All Ohio Shop Hop (August & September) as it just causes issues, but the blocks are under the front counter (at the register) if you want/need to see them..

There have been major changes to this year's sales tax holiday, in Ohio.. It's only a 3 day weekend (Friday, August 7 - Sunday, August 9) and "does not include items purchased for use in a trade or business; clothing accessories or equipment; protective equipment; sports or recreational equipment; belt buckles sold separately; costume masks sold separately; patches and emblems sold separately; sewing equipment and supplies including, but not limited to, knitting needles, patterns, pins, scissors, sewing machines, sewing needles, tape measures, and thimbles; and sewing materials that become part of "clothing" including, but not limited to, buttons, fabric, lace, thread, yarn, and zippers." So what did I do with the All Ohio Shop Hop fabrics? It's a Yellow Brick Road!! Pictured is the lap size. Easy enough for beginners, you can use your favorite fabrics, and make it any size! Please note, the pattern calls for one 6 1/2" border I always split it in two 2" & 4 1/2", because I like the look better. I also do a different fabric for the binding.. and just because the lap size, for instance, says use 12 fat quarters, you don't have to use 12 different ones.. you can double up on the original 6, or however you see fit
