A Child's Heart

Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all]. Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this little child [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving] is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. MATTHEW 18 : 3-4

Children believe what they are told. Some people say children are gullible, meaning they believe anything no matter how ridiculous it sounds. But children are not gullible-they are trusting. It is a child's nature to trust unless he has experienced something that teaches him otherwise. Your heavenly Father wants you to know that you are His precious little one--His child--and that when you come to Him as such, you show faith in Him, which releases Him to care for you.
God is not like people. If people in your past have hurt you, don't let it affect your relationship with the Lord. You can trust Him. He will car for you s a loving Father.

Let Go of All Anger

When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down. Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [ give no opportunity to him]. EPHESIANS 4:26-27

Everyone has anger from time to time, and understanding it and knowing how to handle it properly is important.
Anger begins as a feeling and then manifests itself in words and actions. You feel something and it causes you to do or say something. Anger is not necessarily always sin-however, what you choose to do with anger directly determines your quality of life.
All anger has the same effect on your life. It upsets you, causing you to feel pressure. Keeping anger locked inside can even be dangerous to your health. So you must take responsibility for your anger and learn to deal with it.
If you struggle with anger, ask God to help you process it and bring it to closure. You can be bitter or better-the choice is yours!

Accept and Share the Love of God

We love Him, because He first loved us. 1 JOHN 4:19

More than anything, you need a revelation of God's love for you personally. God's love for you is the foundation for your faith, your freedom from sin, and your ability to step out in ministry to others without fear in the form of insecurity.
God made you with a longing in your heart to be loved. And the Word assures you that God loves you. Yet many people mistakenly believe they have worn God out with their failures. You can't cause God not to love you. Love isn't something God does-it is who He is (see 1 John 4:8 ).
As you meditate on God's love at the end of the day, accept it and express your great love for Him. Then as you go about your day tomorrow-and all your tomorrows--share that love with others.

Seek to Be Humble

Do nothing from factional motives [ through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) le each regard the others as better than and superior to himself. PHILIPPIANS 2 : 3

Having pure motives and humility are required if you are to fulfill the command to think more highly of others than yourself. In fact it cannot happen without a willingness to be obedient to the Holy Spirit.
To live in harmony you must recognize and respect the right of others to disagree with you, and you must do so with a good attitude. Humility requires that you forgive quickly and frequently...and that you not be easily offended. You cannot be self seeking, but instead you must be generous in mercy and patience.
Humble yourself and follow God's instructions and you will enjoy the wonderful benefits of obedience: peace, joy, and a powerful victorious life.

Don't Exceed Reasonable Limits

Do you not know that your body is the temple...if temple of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you...You are not your own, you were bought with a price...So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.
1 CORINTHIANS 6:19-20

In today's world, stress is a normal part of everyday life. God created you to withstand normal amounts of pressure and tension, and if you keep stress within reasonable limits, there is no problem. But if you don't, the trouble begins.
Many stressful situations are unavoidable, but too often you cause yourself extra stress by working too hard and too long, not eating and sleeping properly, and getting so involved in activities-even good works-that you exceed wise limits. If you keep adding to that mental and emotional stress, you get into trouble.
If you are pushing yourself beyond reasonable limits, it's time to remember that the Holy Spirit lives in you. You owe it to Him and to yourself to let Him help you recognize and stay within your limits. Don't burn out. Burn on!

Live the Good Life

For we are...recreated in Christ Jesus. [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
EPHESIANS 2 : 10

The heart of God is a father's heart and He wants you to take full advantage of the good life that He prearranged for you. Yet may Christians settle for less than God's best for their lives because they listen to the devil's lies.
The devil tries to convince you that you've made too many serious mistakes in the past and disobeyed God too many times to live the good life. But this is not true.
We all make mistakes, but God still loves us, and when you repent He is quick to forgive you and lead you back to the right path. God has provided the best... and you might as well have it!

Choose Life

I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before your life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live.
DEUTERONOMY 30 : 19

Happiness and joy do not come from the outside but from within you. They are result of conscious decision, a deliberate choice one we make each day.
There are many people living in bad situations they would like to see changed. But despite the challenges they choose to be happy and joyous. You face that same choice every day of your life.
Either you choose to passively listen to the devil and allow him to ruin your life and make you miserable, or you choose to aggressively withstand him so you can live in the fullness of life God provided for you through His Son Jesus Christ.
Make the right choice and enjoy life like never before!

Faint Not

When you go forth to battle against you enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you....Let not your [ mind and ] hearts faint; fear not, and do not tremble or be terrified [ and in dread ]
because of them. For the Lord your God is He Who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to save you.
DEUTERONOMY 20:1, 3-4

A fainthearted person cannot take much. He has to have everything a certain way or he gives up and quits. He gets discouraged and depressed quickly.
What happens when your heart faints? "I can't do this. It's just too hard." If that describes you, know that you don't have to stay that way. The power of God is available to you to break that faint hearted spirit off your life. Instead of thinking and saying, "It is too hard," say, " I can do whatever I need to do because God is with me."

Speak a Blessing into Your Life

He who invokes a blessing on himself...shall do so by saying, May the God of truth and fidelity....bless me; and he...shall swear by the God of truth and faithfulness to His promises...because the former troubles are forgotten and because they are hidden from My eyes. ISAIAH 65:16

You can bless or curse yourself with your mouth. You can bring a blessing by speaking positive truths from God's Word or you can bring a curse by speaking negatively.
Satan is a deceiver and He tries to bring you trouble and then influence you to prophesy that same kind of trouble for your future. But you can choose to bless yourself. If you mentally stop living in the past you can begin to think and speak in agreement with God.
Take notice of the things you say, because what you say does matter-to you and to your well-being. Say what you believe Jesus would say in your situation, and you will open the door for the miracle working power of God.
