The Alpha Thrift Store is locally owned and operated by the Alpha Resource Center of Santa Barbara. Your purchases help us in our efforts to provide crucial financial support for the programs and services that we provide. We appreciate your patronage and hope that you enjoy your shopping experience. We are a local charitable 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. For over 40 years, our success has been due to many factors, but primarily to the community’s active support of Santa Barbaran’s with developmental disabilities. This support has had a positive impact on all of us. Besides providing financial support for the services offered by Alpha Resource Center, Alpha Thrift Store also serves as a significant reuse and recycling agent, a source of material goods for people who may not have other alternatives and an established community employer of people both with and without disabilities. Besides, it’s a fun and popular place to shop!

I take pride in what Alpha does for the community. When I'm not at work, you can find me vacationing with my family, enjoying Peruvian and Mexican food, and spending time with my boys. My favorite color is Pink, and Christmas is my favorite holiday - there's nothing better than having a house full of family! Grateful to the Alpha Family for the wonderful years!"

Meet Remy, the manager of our Alpha Thrift Store in Goleta! Remy has been a part of the Alpha family for over 9 years, and her passion for our mission inspired her to join us. She loves working at Alpha Thrift Store because it provides a fun and friendly environment where she can constantly learn new things and develop helpful skills. Remy's favorite part of working at the store is seeing the joy in people's eyes when they find new treasures. When Remy isn't busy at Alpha, you can find her hiking, hitting the beach, or enjoying any outdoor activity. Fun fact: Remy's favorite animal is the chipmunk, and she loves going to the movies to watch premieres. We're thrilled to have Remy as part of the Alpha family! 😄

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, our donation center has reached maximum capacity. Therefore, we regret to inform you that we will be closed from Monday, July 24th through Sunday, July 30th, in order to manage the overwhelming amount of donations.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We look forward to reopening on Monday, July 31st
