Hi! I am Data. We are a small business of gear nerds making custom backpacking gear! I am a massive gear nerd, a PCT thru hiker, and lover of all things outdoors!

After my thru hike I wanted to tweak some of my gear and started making quilts and other custom gear! I am open to working with you to make anything you might be looking for! My specialty is UL backpacking quilts, modifying what worked for my thru hike with some added improvements!

Another custom piece of gear! This is a crampon bag made from X-Pac® VX15 - Prym1 Camo in Mahi and waterproof zippers from !

This crampon bag was specifically made to be able to keep packing for adventures more worry free. I personally always get stressed that something sharp is going to tear up my quilt or down jacket.

Crampon bags like this one have given myself and my adventure partners peace of mind as we tear stuff out of our packs during an alpine start!

The latest quilt got put in the mail today and should arrive for Christmas!

This quilt is a 30*F quilt with 1oz of overstuff and a custom inside pocket for your phone! It's final weight came in at 15.1oz!

Getting back into the swing of sharing some adventures Data] quilts have been on!

Here's a picture of some quilts preparing for an evening in ! This was a permit campsite that we used as a starting point to summit the class 3 hike of the Middle Teton!

This is what camping really looks like... A yard sale in your area as you organize yourself watching a beautiful sunset and eating lots of snacks while dinner gets going!

We decided to make this a relaxed trip so we carried the extra weight of camp chairs and books to fully enjoy our time in the beautiful and more secluded area of the park!

The quilt pictured here was a bit overkill for this summer trip, but with the adjustability of the quilt it was easy to stay comfortable!

The quilt pictured here is a Data] 0* quilt with Lagoon Nebula outside and Moroccan blue inside with 2 pockets! Upper pocket is for electronics to stay warm/easy to find, lower pocket is for my water filter so it doesn't freeze on the overnight.

Obligatory photos of my gear (with a few last minute swaps not photographed here)

Sub 16.5 # base weight, including my bear canister and mircospikes! (Base weight does not include consumables such as food or water)

I am flying out today to do a 2 week high alpine hike so will be slow to respond for the next 2 weeks. I will do my best while I have service but please be patient, and thank you in advance!

This quilt is extra special because was bold enough to reach out 2 weeks before her trip with a wing and a prayer to see if I would be able to rush make her a custom quilt!!!

Just so happens my schedule worked out enough that I WAS able to get this quilt made in time for her upcoming hike!

This quilt will help drop over 1.5 # from her vase weight!!!

This quilt is:
10* with 3 oz of overstuff.
The outside is a charcoal gray paired with a green tea interior and gray snaps. It features an interior pocket, sewn footbox, 2 snaps for footbox adjustably and a snap and drawstring closure on top! This quilt is filled with 900 fill goose down. The final weight for this 70"" long quilt is 22.4oz!

A new quilt is in the mail today for !!!

This beautiful purple dragon print from and has been turned into a magical quilt for all her future adventures!

This quilt is:
A 15* with 3oz overstuff, light purple dragon scale printed outside with Moroccan Blue inside and dragon scale pocket and black snaps! The footbox is sewn with 2 black snaps for adjustably. The top closure has a snap with an elastic draw string with mini cord locks to hold it cinched on a chilly night! It is stuffed with 900fill down. Total final weight 20.16 oz!
