Some final images from Book Grove. Between December 31st and January 7th the bookstore’s home for more than 20 years was emptied, cleaned and made ready for its next chapter (which was no small undertaking; the last photo was taken on our last day of business, New Year’s Eve), and the signs were taken down. The building was left in much better condition than it was found when purchased back in February of 2004. Countless meaningful encounters, ideas, conversations and transactions have occurred within these walls over the years which will be remembered and treasured by many. We’re grateful for all of you, and we encourage you to keep exploring the rich world of books!

The shelves are getting empty, but there are still plenty of bargains to be found on the last day of the year, and the final day for the bookstore. Open until 4pm today.

The sun goes down after another busy day at Book Grove. Two more shopping days until the end of the year, and the final closure of the bookstore. All used books and records are just $1 (or $10 for a boxful), and new merchandise is 40% off. We’ll be open from 12-5 on Monday and 12-4 on New Year’s Eve.

We have another nice antique oak library table with one center drawer and a lower shelf available for $250; 42” long by 26” wide and 30” tall. You may see it and take it home anytime during store hours through December 31 (Sunday & Monday, 12-5pm and Tuesday 12-4pm).

We’re in the home stretch here at Book Grove, and it has been hereby decreed that from this day forward all used books and records shall be just $1 each (or you may fill a box for $10), and all new books and merchandise are 40% off. Time to break open the piggy banks and check under the seat cushions for loose change. Books are flying off the shelves and out the door, so shop soon for best selection!
