Meet Carla Fettig!

Carla is from Dickinson, ND and has been quilting for over 30 years. She believes quilting should be a chance to play with shapes, experiment with color and enjoy the process. After years of using traditional patterns and focusing on precise piecing, she began exploring improvisational piecing and loves the freedom creativity it brings. Today she enjoys creating contemporary quilts using improv piecing along with appliqué, English Paper Piecing and traditional piecing.

Her approach to quilting instruction is shaped by her career in education: 27 as a classroom teacher and 5 years as a literacy coach. In vet classes, students can expect clear steps, lots of encouragement and support for every quilters style and pace!

When she is not in her quilt studio, she enjoys gardening, spending time with her two doodles, going on quilt excursions with friends, or visiting her daughter and her family in Minnesota.

We welcome Carla and can’t wait for you all to view her talents! Join us on Saturday, July 11th from 9-4pm!

Carla will bring many examples of her talent and we will display it all outside on our beautiful grounds at Enchanted Room. She will also be hosting 2 separate demonstrations.

We try. Really hard. But sometimes all we accomplish is laughing at ourselves. Social media can be hard. 😂
