Type1Creations Creations for a cure When my son was 3 years old he got sick. We took him to the Dr. and found out he had Type 1 diabetes, or as many know it, Juvenile Diabetes.

We spent the next week in shock, and in the hospital, learning how this lifelong chronic disease was going to change our lives forever. I will never forget giving my son a shot for the first time, and realizing that I would be giving him shots for a very long time. He cried as he looked at me screaming “No daddy no!"
From then on, our family has been raising funds for Diabetes research. Every year

we raise money by participating in the JDRF walk at Great America. After several years of raising money once a year, I decided to find other ways of contributing. www.Type1Tshirts.com which evolved into type1creations.com was built with the sole purpose of raising funds to find a cure for juvenile diabetes. On our site we have T-shirts and newly added Red Neck stemware. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to JDRF. See the about us page on our web site for a link to the current yearly total. Type 1 Creations is changing its focus. Instead of raising funds for JDRF, we are raising funds to get Tanner a service dog. Tanner's blood sugar has been all over the place. Kaiser has issued him a continuous blood monitor that is inserted into his body for a week at a time. This gives us a general idea but its not always accurate and doesn't give timely alerts.

This is great! So Type1Creations was declined from the Gilroy Garlic Festival. I called the group responsible to find out why. After some himming and hawing, beating around the bush, she finally came out and said that she didn't want to offend me, but the Garlic festival was looking for "...a higher class of artwork"
I had to laugh. So come and get your 'not good enough for the Garlic Festival' glasses and stuff at the Wine Stroll, the Car Show, and many, many other events located in this area and Chico area.
